Homegrown Quinoa! Planted a few seeds in the spring and had a small harvest this autumn. These seeds will need soaking in water, where they’ll expand massively. They’ll be at least 3 meals coming from that lot. 😉
Quinoa (pronounced /?kinw?/ KEEN-wah or /?kino??/ KEE-no-uh, Spanish quinoa, from Quechua kinwa) is a species of goose foot (Chenopodium) grown as a crop primarily for its edible seeds. It is a pseudo cereal rather than a true cereal as it is not a grass. Its leaves are also eaten as a leaf vegetable, much like amaranth, but the commercial availability of quinoa greens is currently limited.

Stir-fry leek, courgette and Brussels sprouts. Once its done, add quinoa, salt and water. Boil for 20 minutes and serve.
Sofrerir puerro, coles de bruselas y calabacín. Luego añadimos la quinoa, el agua y la sal. Dejamos hervir 20 minutos y servimos.
