Question by Ms. Kennedy: Can I bring quinoa on a checked bag from the US to France?
I am going to France for a year and I would like to bring quinoa with me because it will be significantly more expensive in France. Will I be allowed to bring an unopened package on an airplane?

If you don’t want to try contacting the French authorities to find out for certain, I would suggest going ahead and packing it. But if their Customs agents ask if you have any agricultural products when you arrive, you would be wise to tell them what you have. The worst that could happen would be that it would be confiscated.
